I've been hibernating

I've been hibernating over the past couple of months.
Well, actually I haven't but I wish I had been.

I've been busy working, doing courses for work and I've also embarked on a Diploma of Management through TAFE. I'm wondering why I agreed to do it as there is a lot of work involved with assignments and projects to be completed and we only have until the end of the year to complete it. It is really hard studying when you haven't studied for over 25 years. My work has organised the diploma through TAFE and about 20 staff have enrolled. That is the only good thing about the course as we have classes together each month and are able to help each other with the assignments. We all can't wait until it is all over and are already organising the party to celebrate.

I'm also trying to plan our wedding in Scotland next year.

This all means that I have had very little time to sew, stitch, read, blog or just enjoy life.

This is what I sent Melody for the Winter swap in The Once A Season Swap organised by Cheryll.

I made Melody a casserole mat and a pot holder and bought her some other small goodies.

This is what Maria sent me.
She made me a gorgeous casserole holder and 2 large pot holders. They are great and I can't wait to use them.

I now have to think about what I'm going to make for ?? for the Spring swap.

My winter present was absolutely wonderful with the glorious aroma of cloves when I set something warm on it. Thank you so much, I loved my gift.

It was so much fun to make the gifts for you and I like the ones you made for Melody too.
Now I am stitching my Spring Gift too. Have fun making yours.

Love the casserole mat, bag and potholders - great ideas, so lovely to look but practical to use.
I understand where you are with study, work, wedding planning and work. It's not always easy to juggle everything....SO have you finished Karin's quilt yet? or finished Back to the Farm? or started the next McKenna Ryan one - Beach Walk????? Nah, don't feel guilty. Hey, what about showing everyone your new sewing buddy????
Guess you had better add in planning a Bec morning for stitchers for later this year, to your list too!

Lovely to hear from You Alison. I think we all get a bit snowed under at times. Love what you made and received. I too have been slow on the sewing/stitching/blog & blog reading. Hope to catch up tonight :)
