Tuesday's Treasures

For Tuesday's Treasures hosted by Melody I thought I would show you my beautiful Red-Rumped Parrot.
They are called Red-Rumped Parrots because the males have red feathers on their backs. They are slightly bigger than budgies and have a beautiful singing voice.

I was given my little boy and a little girl in 2005 by my best friend. The little girl died about 2 years ago.
My little boy lives in his cage in my pergola.
It is great waking up to his singing each morning.
Birds are such beautiful creatures and really relax you when you are stressed.

Thanks Melody for holding Tuesday's Treasures. It is such fun taking the time to think about all the special treasures in our lives.

Your little boy is so beautiful. I've got two budgies in an aviary under my pergola and I love them too. Thank you so much for sharing him as part of Tuesday Treasures

Your bird is a great friend... I love
birds, but I have 3 little killers (sorry, they are here, behind me... 3 little cats...)

What a beautiful boy. I have seen these guys before and they fascinate me. So precious.
We had a Rainbow Lorrie years ago and he followed my son everywhere. It was devastating when he passed away suddenly from a flu virus and we have not been able to get another since - we were so attached to him.
Your fellow is just beautiful too.
