Sydney Quilt Show

I was lucky enough to have last weekend off work so headed down to Sydney to the Quilt Show with Maree and Lyn. It was an early morning wake up call (4am) on Friday as I had to pick Maree and then Lyn up and be at Gold Coast Airport at 6am to catch the 7am plane to Sydney.

I was really excited as I have never been to the Sydney Quilt Show. I wasn't dissappointed, it was a great couple of days with lots to see and do. The quilts were amazing.
I also met up with some blogging friends at Chookyblue's blog met on Friday.

We went out on Friday night to dinner.
It was a surprise to see Lynda from Brisbane. We only live about an hour away from each other but have to go to Nundle and now Sydney to see each other. I will get up to Brisbane later in the year to go shopping with you Lynda, I do promise.

Tuesday's Treasures

This is my new Teddy Bear that I bought when we went to Tweed Heads last month.
There was a whole collection of them in the Gift Shop and I had a hard time deciding which one to buy.
In the end I just had to have her.

Her name is Monique and she was made by Settler Bears.
I just love her dress, shawl and the gorgeous pin on her shawl.

Go over to Melody's blog for more Tuesday's Treasures.

Have a great Tuesday!!

Presents

When I was sick in bed a couple of weeks ago the postman left this gorgeous parcel for me.
I had no idea who it was from as I wasn't expecting anything from anyone.

When I opened it was a gorgeous RAK (random act of kindness) present from Carole.

I had joined Maree's RAK swap not expecting to get anything so gorgeous from anyone.

Carole sent me a lovely mug and teaspoon in a beautiful mug bag.
Just perfect to out with me.

I also received these 2 gorgeous pin cushions, they are wonderful.

Lastly there was a lovely little photo frame and 2 memo holders.

Thank you so much Carole for the presents, they certainly brightened up my day.

Thank you Maree for organising this swap.

A few days later the postman left another parcel.
Now who was this from?? I had no idea.

It was an absolutely gorgeous bag from Pat of Narromine.

Pat was on holidays on the Gold Coast earlier in the year and I drove her to Cleveland to met the Gum Nut Ladies and a group of SE Qld bloggers.

Pat sent me this bag as a thank you for driving her.

It is her version of Anni's "No Place like Home" bag, made from Moda "Roman Holiday" fabrics.

When Lyn and Maree came over for a day's sewing a few weeks ago Lyn gave us both a present.
It was this cute little bag just perfect for emboidery thread and scissors and a small pin cushion.
